Vegan

Well along time has passed but will tell you that October of 2010 I became vegan which is a huge change for us. We also moved back into columbia but plan on getting an apartment somewhere else. J our youngest started kindergarten and E is in 2nd grade. I started back into college I am going for soc degree ( I started of going for Biology degree but felt a vegan dissecting animals was kind of wrong)...... Anyway that is pretty much all that is going on. I dont know if I mentioned we have a new furbaby Montee we adopted. We love him he is a boxer- Mastiff mix. He is sooo cute. I will have to try and get a picture on here soon. Also I have really fallen in love with running and have been running since about June of last year. I am still running even through the blizzard here in missouri. Anyway that is all I have right know it has been boring but oh well I hope to get more on top of posting stuff on my blog

wow it has been a long time

Sorry everyone it has been soooo long. For a long time we didn't have Internet so that is one of the big reasons I did not update.

So here is the update:

We have moved back in with my mother in law due to a bad business deal with family don't I repeat don't do business with family it turns badly. The boys are going to school this year. Yep you read it right both of my boys are going to school. Boo hooooo..... I cant believe that my babies are getting so big.

Daniel got a new job and he likes it a lot. He is a corrections officer and he has night hours but he is home by 1 in the morning which is a huge change because he used to work till seven in the morning.

I am going to go to school on a campus this year. I was going online and while I liked it; it wasn't working out because like I said before we didn't have Internet.

As I have said before I am a vegetarian and have been for almost a year and a half. I am trying to go vegan but having some trouble with it. I will get it thought. Another health update is that I have lost about 20 pds with diet and exercise and plan to loose even more. I am really starting to see a difference. Hopefully I will put a before and after photo when I loose more.

OH by the way we have another dog. We got him from a program where Daniel works it is called puppies for parole and they rehabilitate dogs and train them. It helps the prisoner and the dog. We adopted him and we all adore him tremendously.

Well so far that really is all. Sorry to say that nothing really is going on. I told everyone before I live a boring life sorry.

Wasted energy and a Death in the family

Well nothing really new these days.

We got a new washer and dryer it is an energy star front loader washer and dryer. I absolutely love it. I got it for xmas and it was delivered around the 19th of January. Nope I did not pay for it. As I said it was a gift.

My biggest pet peeve of the holiday season was not the gifts or the money that paid for the gifts. It was my electric bill and the sad part is that I didn't have lights on anywhere not on a tree, not out on the house, I would turn off all the lights . The other day peanut was telling a kid that wanted to play with him where he lived and he told him and the little kid said ohhhhhh you live in that dark house. HAHAHa. Oh well I try but still the electric for the last two months was 300 dollars WHAT!!!!!!!!!! I am so made we have doubled the plastic on the windows. I have shut the flew so the heat would not go out the top of the house. I have shut all the lights off and the kids have shut of the lights when they leave a room. everything is on power strips we had already changed all the light bulbs to CFLs and we regulate everything that involves energy we have unplugged the microwave the cellphone chargers everything. I don't understand but if someone has any ideas please feel free to tell me.

Anyway that is my problem right know.

Oh and D's grandpa passed last Saturday from the late stages of Alzheimer's and so the funeral is tomorrow and the boys are honorary pall bearers I think that is how you spell it. anyway that is what is going on now.

I understand , I know that it has been a looooong time since I have posted anything. Well to make it quick my job position has changed I am at customer service(which now that I think of it I dont think I actually said anything about what I worked oh well.) Also I am just working weekends so I am a stay at home mom throught the week which is nice for all of us.
Anyway J (monkey boy) is another year older so he is five years old now and we are doing the HS thing full on. We are on the ninth lesson and we are learning about Water and the spirit water that Jesus gives us when we are saved. We also learn the science of water such as as a solid, gas and of course as a liquid. He is enjoying his lessons except if we interupt his routine then he has a problem. I am not one that believes in a routine but he is very particular.
E (peanut)is seven and he acts like his is 13 he is very much a smart butt. He will tell you when he feels you are wrong on something and if you have wronged him. He wants to be a bus driver since yes he goes to public school which is were J will go next year for kindergarten. He is absolutley in love with the fact a vehichle that big can drive so smooth and carry that many children and the person that drives the bus can stop a bus and just sit there till the kids listen. He is his fathers child......!
DH has gotten a new job and he is really liking it. It pays him better which is another reason I have lowered my hours at work. Which was a deal that we made long before I got my job. He has been doing the academy and officially started two days before christmas.
So today is christmas and the kids have enjoyed it. It has been snowing all day but we cant go outside to sled because the wind chill is so bad. We had to stay at the MIL house last night because there was no way we would of gotten snowed in and not been able to come here to spend time with the grandparents. I did work yesterday from 1pm to 6:30pm and you would not believe people at 5:59 people still wanted to come into the store to shop WHAT is up with that. DH worked as well but he worked a full shift he worked 7:30am to 3:30pm. We have enjoyed ourselves today and will continue to enjoy Jesus's birthday. I will end this by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY JESUS!!!!!

Well it has been awhile. Really however it has been boring around here. Peanut is in first grade and loves it. He rides the bus and thinks that is the most wonderful thing in the world. We are still redoing the house and have finally gotten the boys room totally finished. I still need to paint the kitchen and our room.
J or what I sometimes call him Monkey boy turned five yesterday and I am pretty sad about it. My baby is getting sooo big. We are homeschooling him for preschool and loves it. He is really retaining all the information that we are teaching him as well. We are learning the numbers based on the creation story (which I got from a book known as My Fathers World.
I am moving up in my job. I am know at customer service which is ok but that also means more time at work so that is the biggest problem with me trying to go back to school as well.

Like I said we are boreing sorry( oh by the way it is a good thing we are HS'ing for preschool and not into spelling yet hehehe! )

Well that is all we have so far to talk about maybe we will have more later sorry to all those following.

July 4th

Well yesterday was great. It was the birthday of our nation. A nation that is right now still fighting a war that some may feel is unnecessary. I will not comment on what I feel as far as this war is concerned that is not what this blog I have started is all about. What I will say is that this war does have me thinking especially with so many still over there that we take things for granted. We take the fact that we can wake up and make decisions everyday without thinking about what will happen to us for those decisions except how it would effect what we eat what job we have or if our family will be better off which are all good things to think about when making a grand decision. Most of us don't think about what our government will think of us if we wear a short sleeve shirt or put our hair down or even Shock to pick up the Bible and read it!!!!! But all over the world there are places that you can not show your elbows or your hair and reading a Bible will get your fingers cut off or even worse death will come to you. When I think about this pride is in my heart that I had a husband, a father, an uncle and even a father in law and know a brother in law that is fighting or has fought to make this land that I live in free for me to be able to do the things that we do everyday without thinking. With all this freedom sacrifices have been made.
Sacrifices have been made in this great country but it started even before the first group of people got here. Jesus himself sacrificed for us before we even thought about America before we were even a glimmer in our parents eye and they were in their parents and so on and so forth. Jesus sacrificed himself for us to live in peace and freedom wherever we may live it didn't matter if we were in Afghanistan or Iraq getting killed for our religion or not we are free with him. When the first settlers landed in this new world they were leaving their country and sacrificed the lives and family that they left behind in order to live as they wanted without fear or giving in to what others wanted. Then the Revolutionary war, the war of 1812 sacrificed men, children and even women to be once and for all free of the persecution of England. Then the civil war so that truly all men; black or white shall be free. Then WWI and WWII was war to give freedom and to insure our freedom would not be taken by any political party. WWII also showed us that there were still monsters out there that did not believe that one certain group that should be free and we were there to show that America is free and that we will insure that those people deserved the freedom to believe as they did. Also that people should not die for there heritage or their religious beliefs. Then Korea happened which was the war against communism that sparked the Vietnam war as well which sacrificed many of our military men and women. Then in the Desert storm war we again were faced with a man that believed that he was Gods messenger and that those that believed in freedom should no longer exist and insisted on killing his own people that got in his way. 9-11 happened and effected us on American soil and we knew all to well that even thought we had freedom if someone wanted to bad enough and had help it could be taken away all to quickly. We now in a way have lost some freedom no longer can a airplane trip be easy we are inspected and all get a list of things that we can no longer take on a plane because a group wanted to show us that capitalism and our religion were not going to be taken lightly in the middle east and that people that believed in Jesus Christ as the son of God should no longer exist. ( Ya know Jesus Christ the one that sacrificed himself so that we would be free to worship him and to wash away our sins.) Then the same man that in Desert storm tried to hurt us and killed his own people decided that was not enough and started threatening Americans and started killing more of his people. If you look back in history Americans waited to long for the Jewish people in WWII and that was wrong we did not want to do that with these people that would be inhumane and we would of been no better off then the mad man we were all disgusted about. Do we still need to be in this war since the mad man is dead that is not for me to decide that is up to your personal beliefs. That is what is so great about this country we have the right to our opinion.
From the king of England that would have people beheaded if something in the paper was written bad about him to the Enquire know that says smut about everyone that is even slightly famous we see the freedom in this country. I truly understand that protesters are given a bad name in every country including sometimes this one but without protesters we would not be a country. It took protesting to get the Revolutionary war started, to get the civil war started, to free the slaves and make them free, to give women freedom, to insure that black Americans were not only free but had rights, to women the right to finally vote, to give Hispanics freedom in America, to give Japanese Americans freedom (ie.WWII period). There have been many protesters out there that truly believe in what they are doing such as Pro life, Pro choice, Against the wars, and for the wars. There is also protesters that no one really wants to discuss but we all have to realize that even with freedom in the worldly since we will have bad and good. I have the choice in this blog not to post those for it disgust me that some people use this freedom in this country to hurt others and to be small minded and belittle those that they do not understand.
Fourth of July is a wonderful time to remember all that this young nation has gone throught and to really realize that while we might not all agree on what goes on in this country we can agree that this country has survived by the sacrifice of so many in this nation. Thanks for anyone that reads this. This was an emotional blog post.

Wednesday

Well I am half way through watching the dogs and taking care of the house for my inlaws while they are on vacation. This last week has been busy with me getting the house done well ....... to be honest it was and has been busy for my DH. He has been doing more in the house then I have. Their is only one thing time consuming for me this last week, Laundry. Yep you would not think so with the technology today but if you look at it from a different perspective we have not really made anything as far as laundry is concerned that is convienient. When we didnt have a washing machine or a dryer we had less clothes am I right. Come on noone wants to take the time to hand wash as many clothes as we do know. This lowers our pocket books with alot more then it did then when women had three dresses two for chores and one for church in the summer and the same amount in the winter. Know we have books and magazines that show us how to enlarge our closets or to find places for all of our clothes that we have to have. But I am going off on a tagent that I should really stop really.
Laundry for me is taking awhile because A. I have no dryer and B. It has been raining every other day of the week if not a sprinkle everyday. It would be one thing if it only rained because a little rain will soften the clothes but with this rain there has been lots of wind which of course takes the clothes off the line before I want them to. So I have four to five more loads of laundry that needs to be done and lo and behold it is raining today again. AWWWWWW!
Anyway, The boys did play a little while in the pool today and yesterday. They have also really loved the sprinkler. Ava is warming up to the house it only took three weeks not three days as everyone else suggested. Our yard is coming together and our new front porch will be built on friday thank God! Also on a important note for me not anyone else but me I guess according to the rest of the family is that my compost is really starting to do its thing. I am in a major need of a pitch fork or rake something to turn it over since we are already starting to get wet soggy stuff at the bottom Yeah!! I will have good compost in time for next years garden already. That so far is what has been going on in my life.
Thanks to anyone that reads this.... sorry my life is not exciting but it is just that my wonderful and to me exciting life with my DH, My two boys and our dog Ava.
